and the HR (madlang PEOPLE) says...

"Im looking for someone to hand me a resume, look me straight in the eye, tell me that he is the best man for the job, show me a plan, convince me that his experience matches the need,  and tell me that he will break his back trying to fix what everyone else says cannot be fixed.
No hemming. No hawing. No sleeping. No texting. No asking for one million signatures. No asking for discernment from God. No signs of grace from his departed parents. No validation from his siblings. No parachutes. No guarantees.

The most coveted position in our country today is the PRESIDENCY.                                                                     Like a Job application. Madaming applicants. They have to pass their resumes. Undergo various and rigid interviews. The HR is the Filipino people. WE decide.
Do we like a sleeping, reluctant, incompetent president? THINK AGAIN.

The President of 7-11 Republic ✔

Aquino Wins Big in 7-11 “Elections”
-just saw this in facebook

Aquino got 87,959 votes
Teodoro 37,226 votes.

Villar 32,727 votes
Dick Gordon 26,010 votes
Estrada 14,968 votes
14,944 undecided.
So, masaya na naman sila? HAHAHA!
I now proclaim Noynoy Aquino, as the President of the 7-11 Republic!

We deserve nothing less than competent and credible candidate to lead our country.
We face serious challenges, and this is NO TIME for candidates who bank on their CHARMS, PUBLICITY MACHINE, HOLLOW CREDENTIALS, and Facebook fan pages/posts to win our votes.

and oh, Congratulations sa 7-11, sa kumikitang kabuhayan and feel good nationalism na dulot nyo.

Noynoy is now in SNN! ✔

It is not the criminal things that are hardest to confess, but the ridiculous and the shameful.

-Jean Jacques Rousseau

The news article of Ms. Rachel Arnaiz on Philippine Daily Inquirer's last March 20, 2010 is unbelievable.

It was about the "restricted" sort of "scripted" press conference held in Samar of Liberal Party's Noynoy Aquino. The Provincial Information office, as instructed by Aquino's staff,  "briefed" the media to stop the media from asking questions on sensitive topics such as the Reproductive Health Bill, Hacienda Luisita, Taxation issues, etc.

I strongly believe that a press conference by any "presidential candidate" should be without restriction, no banned questions, no holds barred. Transparency!
What is he hiding?
Is he afraid that he can't answer these sensitive questions truthfully? Is he scared of showing his being "fickle-minded" to the public?
Is the Liberal Party hiding something? These "Sensitive" questions should be answered.

The people need answers.
Do not make the Filipinos "mangmang".

Seems like Noynoy wants to be with Tito Boy at SNN.
Showbiz News Ngayon or better yet... Scripted NoyNoy?

Oh, it was also heartbreaking for the people of Samar. They prepared a lunch for the LP presidential candidate. and Noynoy skipped it.
He just went there for the press-con. He chose to went at the "restricted/scripted" presscon to make a fool of himself rather than to spend time with the people.

Talaga naman oh! tsk.

twas BLIND but NOW i SEE...✔

At that moment of realization I knew that I had been blind because I had wished not to see; it was only then that I realized, at last, i am awaken!

My political thoughts were bewildered last February 25, 2010. I became uncertain of what my real color is... Well, politically speaking, hindi pwede ang black and white, it should be black or white. Hindi pwede ang lukewarm, it's either you're hot or cold. In my case, I have to chose... I have to make a decision.

Frankly, I was a Gibo believer then. Why? Because of his famous political advertisement, Galing and Talino. And that I had sit at the same table with him. That's it. I must admit, that was SHALLOW. very shallow.

NOW is the time to choose a candidate base on substantial facts and deeper knowledge.

It was just last Thursday when my colleagues saw my new baller ID, from the usual green baller that i wear, they saw a more vibrant color of baller id with Senator Manny Villar's name on it.

I heard accusations such as "balimbing", "walang integridad", "pabago-bago ng isip", and the WORST accusation of them all is.. "next week, Noynoy na yan". I was like, WTF! ugh.

Whatever. In my opinion, it is never too late to learn, to acquire knowledge, to change minds. Huwag nating hayaang nakakahon ang utak natin. Regardless of your age, your education, your color... you have the power to choose who are you going to vote for in May 2010. and it is NEVER too late to decide.

How thankful am I that God had given me wisdom. I am finally coming out in the open.
I boldly choose
Manuel "Manny" Bamba Villar, Jr.

SO WHY MBV???

As a political science student, i had this comparative table of presidential candidates.
Kitang-kita at Palong-palo...
He is the most competent and experienced presidential candidate this 2010.
The MAN with an enormous TRACK RECORD and achievements.
Here are SOME of his outstanding accomplishments and WHY will i Vote for him .

     1.  Educational Background:

University of the Philippines (Diliman) - BS Accountancy
UP Masters of Business Administration
Most Outstanding CPA by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 1990
Most Outstanding UP Alumnus in 1991
2004 Most Distinguished Alumnus—the highest recognition given by the University of the Philippines — for his exemplary public service and achievements.

     2.  Advocacies and Social Endeavors:

OFW Helpline - provided burial assistance and legal help to OFWs
Manpower on Wheel ( mobile livelihood training) - livelihood training for poor students
Sipag at Tyaga Caravan - livelihood training for out-of-school youth and unemployed citizens.
Tulong Kalusugan sa Kapwa - provides hospital assistance
Pagtatanim Para sa Kinabukasan - tree planting drive at Las Piñas.
etc., etc., etc.

     3.  Entrepreneur

-one of the most Successful Filipino entrepreneur
-built a real estate empire
-the dean of the Philippine real estate industry.
-known as the brown taipan.

     4.  Legislative Records

-the only speaker of the House of Representatives who became Senate President
-has been in the Senate for 9 years
-been in the Congress for 9 years also
-chairmanship of the Committees on Finance, Foreign Relations, Public Order, and Committee on Agriculture and Fisheries.
-authored and co-authored 10 original bills that eventually became laws
-had filed 737 Bills
-some of the Laws authored by Villar:
  • New Magna Carta for Small and Medium Enterprises (RA 8289)
  • Anti Money Laundering Act (RA 9160)
  • Overseas Absentee Voting Act of 2003 (RA 9189)
  • Anti-trafficking in Persons Act of 2003 (RA 9208)
  • Anti-Smoking Act (RA 9211)
  • Magna Carta for the Working Child (RA 9231)
  • Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act (RA 9262)
  • National Service Training Program (RA 9163)
  • Amendment to the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP of 2009)
  • etc., etc., etc.
These are just some of MBV's qualifications.

Let's choose a leader with Qualifications, Capacity, and Performance.
A perfect kind of mix.
MBV do not rely on a political party's machineries nor on a famous family background.
Isang pinuno na bihasa na, hindi yung parang mag-o-OJT pa lang.

So for those who are still undecided, uncertain, and unsure, (just like me WEEKS ago),
NOW is the time to take a closer look at Senator Manny B. Villar.
I was BLIND then... but NOW I SEE.

Do your part.
Know the MAN.
CHECK Manny B. Villar!

a neophyte blogger ✔

OK, really, i don't really know how to start.

I'm a neophyte. I'm not even a blogger
In fact, this will be my first blog entry.
But I'm a reader. I'm an observer.
I'm a political science student.
I want change. I want to be a change maker

This will be my space. My opinions, perceptions, beliefs, and principles.

Basically, my blog will concentrate on the Philippines' political affairs, especially, the most significant event of the year, May 2010 election.

And of course, this will be my way of helping "THE MAN" I believe in.
As a student, I want to help Senator Manny B. Villar in his campaign, in my own little way.

so there,
